Landlords usually require tenants to provide a rental guarantee in the form of a deposit that is paid into an escrow account. The landlord can access this amount if the tenant fails to pay the rent or damages the property.
When you take out AXA's rental guarantee insurance you don't need to provide a rental deposit because AXA stands surety for you. The surety provided by AXA gives the landlord a guarantee equivalent to a rental deposit: If any damage occurs, AXA will pay out to settle the landlord's legitimate claims - in exactly the same way as a bank would pay out from an escrow account.
In return for AXA standing surety for you, you pay an annual premium.

If you have personal liability insurance with AXA, you benefit from a 10% discount on the annual premium for the rental guarantee - every year. This discount is already reflected in the premium.
In addition, you benefit from service from a single source: in the event of a claim, AXA will see to clarifying the situation with the landlord and the personal liability insurance on your behalf and will settle the claim.

No risk if the landlord rejects the guarantee

No periods of notice stipulated
Do you wish to move out of your apartment or would you rather revert to depositing your rental guarantee in an escrow account in cash? No problem: You can terminate AXA's rental guarantee at any time - preferably in writing.
At any time means: without any periods of notice or minimum terms of validity, daily. Premiums already paid will be refunded to you on a pro rata basis.
There's only one condition: AXA must have received the surety bond back from the landlord.
